CINCINNATI, OHIO — [June 2026] — The Miami Corporation today announced a series of strategic leadership and organizational changes designed to support the company's long-term growth objectives, strengthen customer engagement, and ensure a seamless transition as part of its ongoing succession planning initiatives.
As of June 1st, Tim Niehaus has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer and has transitioned into a new position focused on advancing the company's digital strategy and helping transform Miami's website into the premier industry resource for customers across its core markets.

As part of this transition, Larry Faist has joined the company and assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company into its next chapter of growth.
Larry brings extensive leadership experience, a strong track record of building successful organizations, and a leadership style that aligns closely with Miami’s values and culture. His background includes international leadership in Fortune 500 companies, family-owned businesses, and PE-backed businesses. In each case, he has focused on building long-term, sustainable businesses that benefit all stakeholders.
In addition, Miami Corp. has expanded its commercial leadership structure with the appointment of John Tavano as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this newly established role, Tavano will oversee the company's integrated commercial organization, bringing together Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Marketing, and Digital Commerce under a unified growth strategy.
"The future of our business depends on our ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience while making it easier than ever for customers to do business with Miami," said Tavano. "By aligning our customer-facing teams around common objectives, we are creating a more agile organization focused on sustainable growth, long-term customer relationships, and continued market leadership."
The organizational realignment reflects Miami's commitment to operating as a fully integrated commercial enterprise focused on the needs of its customers. As part of the restructuring, the company has also implemented several key sales leadership initiatives designed to strengthen customer coverage and support future growth.
Shawn MacDowell has been promoted to Sales Director, where he will lead Miami's sales organization and support the continued development of both inside and outside sales teams. MacDowell brings extensive industry knowledge, leadership experience, and deep organizational expertise to the role.
Jim Newman has transitioned into a newly created Inside Sales Representative position, where he will focus on expanding account coverage, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting growth initiatives across a broader segment of the customer base.
In addition, Miami welcomes Todd Raskin to the sales team as the newest Regional Sales Representative, further strengthening its field sales presence and customer support capabilities throughout the northeast region of the country.
These changes are part of a broader strategy designed to position The Miami Corporation for continued success across its core awning, marine, automotive, and upholstery markets.
"As an employee-owned company, our focus has always been on building for the long term," said Tim Niehaus. "This transition represents more than a change in leadership. It reflects our commitment to continuous improvement, thoughtful succession planning, and ensuring that Miami remains the trusted partner our customers rely on for years to come."
